Wenke discusses Salinger on NPR

SALISBURY, MD --- Dr. John Wenke, Salisbury University professor of English, is a featured guest on the nationally syndicated public radio show, "To the Best of our Knowledge," this Sunday, November 3, starting at 10 a.m.  Although  "Best of our Knowledge" is not broadcast locally, it can be heard via the Web at www.wpr.org/book/.  The show is also available for future listening. 

The one-hour program looks at the life of famed fiction writer J.D. Salinger and his legacy to American culture.  Also interviewed with Wenke are Garrison Keillor of Lake Wobegon fame and Margaret Salinger, daughter of J.D. Salinger, who wrote a memoir of life with her father titled Dream Catcher.

Wenke is a nationally recognized Salinger scholar and author of the book, J.D. Salinger, A Study of the Short Fiction. 

"Best of our Knowledge" is produced by Wisconsin Public Radio and hosted by Jim Fleming. Each of its two one-hour programs weekly explores a topic in-depth.  They are broadcast nationally.
