Bardzell lectures at McPherson College

SALISBURY, MD ---Dr. Michael Bardzell of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Salisbury University was the invited lecturer for the Associated Colleges of Central Kansas Mathematical Sciences Departments recently .

The lecture, "Cellular Automata and Discrete Dynamical Systems," was given at McPherson College, which is one of the six associated colleges. McPherson is also one of the test sites for the PascGalois Project, a grant from the National Science Foundation received by SU's Dr. Kathleen Shannon and Bardzell. Currently the abstract algebra students from three of the associated colleges in Kansas are testing materials developed at SU for the grant.

Bardzell met in the computer laboratory at McPherson with the students from the three colleges and worked with them on project materials.
