SU Jazz Ensemble Concert May 1

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Jazz Ensemble presents its annual spring concert 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in the Jackson Family Auditorium of Holloway Hall.
Directed by Jerry Tabor, the big band returns with various styles of music from early swing to contemporary music written only a few months ago. Tabor’s 2024 composition, This is Where We Belong, is performed alongside songs made popular by the Andrews Sisters and the Count Basie Orchestra. Instrumental music and numerous vocal arrangements are performed by Grace McCreary Bagley, Ayla Dennis and Keily Jelley, along with improvised solos by students and community members.
Tickets are $10, $8 for alumni and $5 for seniors. Faculty, staff and students are admitted free but tickets are required. Tickets are available through SU’s online box office.
Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass.
