SU Centennial Preview Event April 24
By SU Public Relations
SALISBURY, MD---In September 1925, the State Teachers College at Salisbury welcomed its first class of 115 students.
Several name changes and tens of thousands of students later, Salisbury University commemorates its 100th anniversary beginning this September.
University community members are invited to attend an unveiling of the SU Centennial brand and logo 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, on the front steps of Holloway Hall. The Centennial webpage also will be launched on that date, which coincides with the date of the laying of the first brick for Holloway Hall in 1924.
Speakers include SU President Carolyn Ringer Lepre and SU Centennial chair Jason Curtin, vice president of advancement and executive director of the SU Foundation, Inc. A reception follows in the Great Hall, which also will serve as the rain location for the unveiling.
