Zaprowski presents research at Geological Society of America annual meeting

SALISBURY, MD ---Dr. Brent Zaprowski of Salisbury University's Henson School of Science and Technology presented "Using GIS to Estimate Climatic Influences on River Incision" at the 114th annual meeting of the Geological Society of America in Denver.

Assistant professor in the Geography and Geosciences Department, Zaprowski's research focuses on how much major changes in climate can cause landscapes to erode. The study uses elevation data from 40 river basins in the midwestern United States to measure how much erosion one might expect from an increase in storm activity in that region.
