SU Student United Way Hosts Second Halloween 5k Dash October 24

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Student United Way hosts its second annual Halloween 5K Dash on Saturday, October 24, at SU.

Benefiting United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, the event begins with registration at 8 a.m. at Maggs Physical Activities Center. The race is 9 a.m., followed by a 1-mile Zombie Walk at 9:15 a.m.

Participants run through a course featuring zombies lurking at every turn. The top two male and female finishers overall and top male and top female in each age group receive medals. All participants receive an event T-shirt, refreshments, and admission to the award ceremony and indoor after-party, including a costume contest and DJ zombie dance-off, as well as games, prizes and treats.

Run registration is $10 for SU students, $15 for faculty, $25 for members of the greater community ($30 after Friday, October 9). Walk registration is $10 for all. Advance registration is recommended. To register, visit www.unitedway4us.org/5k.
