SU Hosts 21st Eastern Shore High School Math Competition

      SALISBURY, MD---Mathematics take center stage on 		Wednesday, November 10, as 69 students from 23 schools in Maryland, 		Virginia and Delaware put their intellect and creativity to the test in 		the 21st Annual Eastern Shore High School Mathematics Competition at 		Salisbury University.		Conectiv Power Delivery, SunTrust Bank and 		Salisbury University’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science 		cosponsor the event. The top three individual students and all members 		of the top three teams will receive U.S. Savings Bonds and book prizes. 		(Several book prizes have been generously donated by Key College 		Publishing.) In addition, each participating student receives a 		certificate, and all participants (including teachers) receive 		customized T-shirts.		“As always, it is a thrill and an honor to host the 		Eastern Shore High School Mathematics Competition,” said Kurt Ludwick, 		co-chair of the event. “It is gratifying to have this opportunity to 		bring together the region’s best and brightest high school students for 		a day of celebration of mathematics.”
