Chorale and Chamber Choir perform December 8
SALISBURY, MD ---The annual holiday concert by the Salisbury Univeristy Chorale and Chamber Choir is Sunday, December 8, at 4 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church.
Patrick Freer, director of choral activities, has planned a performance with contemporary and classical works. The student director for the Chorale is Erin Waggoner with University accompanist Susan Zimmer. The Chamber Choir student conductor is Patrick Gates with student accompanist Sung Eun Kim.
The Chamber Choir performs The Gloria from Puccini's Messe di Gloria featuring tenor soloist Curtis White ('00). Among the numerous other soloists and instrumentalists, mezzo soprano Lauren Stott is soloist with the combined choir performance of Robert Ray's Gospel Magnificat.
Freer, also instructor of music education at SU, is an accomplished educator and author. An active pianist, clinician and conductor, his choirs have performed at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and the United Nations.
