SSO Presents "Symphony Pops: In the League with Grieg" May 10

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury Symphony Orchestra (SSO) at Salisbury University presents its annual spring concert, “Symphony Pops: In the League with Grieg,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Jackson Family Auditorium of Holloway Hall.
Directed by Dr. Jeffrey Schoyen, the performance features guest Swedish pianist Lana Suran. Suran is celebrated as a leading Scandinavian pianist of her generation. Recognized by the Augsburger Allgemeine as “simply an outstanding artist,” she is known for performances with deep emotional resonance and tonal nuance.
A masterclass with Suran is 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in Fulton Hall Room 130, featuring students in the Peter and Judy Jackson Music Department.
Tickets are $25; $20 for seniors; $10 for SU faculty and staff; $5 for students, available through SU’s online box office.
Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass.
