SU Named Among the Nation's Military-Friendly Schools

By SU Public Relations

SALISBURY, MD---For the 17th consecutive year, Salisbury University has been named among the nation’s 2025-26 Military Friendly Schools.

SU is one of only 830 schools featured on the list, compiled from surveys of institutions nationwide and opinions from student veterans. Salisbury earned silver status.

Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by Viqtory Media with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.

Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer) and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.

To support military-connected students, SU offers a Student Military and Veterans Association, a chapter of the Salute Honor Society and Green Zone advocate training, and participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, an optional tuition-support component of the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill.

The Military Friendly Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources from more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly Schools survey from participating institutions.
