PRESTO Students Perform in Recital
SALISBURY, MD---Students taking lessons through Salisbury University’s PRESTO performing arts outreach program will share their talents during recitals at 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
The students range in age from 7 to adult and in ability from beginner to advanced. They perform piano, violin, viola, cello, percussion, guitar, and voice works. Selections include “Cavatina” by Joachim Raff and “Sarabande” by Handel, among others. A reception follows each recital.
PRESTO instructors include faculty members Drs. Linda Cockey, Danielle Cumming, Sachi Murasugi and Nan Richerson, and Prof. Eric Schuster. Professional teachers are Becca Doughty, Maggie Jones, Martha Mancuso, Bobbie Thamert and Mary-Tyler Upshaw. SU student teachers include Anna Avrick, Sarah Butler, Anthony Constantine, McCabe Dignam, Geneque Garrison, Hunter Lupro, Christopher Sajadi and Jeffrey Todd.
The PRESTO recitals offer a unique performance by musicians with varied levels of ability as well as the chance to learn more about the PRESTO program from present students and teachers.
