Winter Storm Warning Issued for Wicomico County January 24-25
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning for Wicomico County and surrounding areas from 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, until 7 p.m. Sunday, January 25. The NWS currently is forecasting snowfall of 4-8 inches beginning Saturday evening. Expected freezing rain and ice on Sunday evening may increase the chance of extended, widespread power outages. To allow parking lots to be plowed, those parked on campus are asked to move their vehicles off campus, or to the Wayne Street Garage, by 8 p.m. Saturday. As the storm develops, the University will make a decision about campus operations by Sunday. Classes remain virtual January 26-30. For more information, please visit the SU website.
