Bio

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her PhD and The College of William and Mary for her A.B., Dr. Walton has lived in the UK, France, and Mexico, attended the Universities of St. Andrews in Scotland and Warwick in England and is passionate about British History. A founding member of the North American Organization of Scottish Historians, she continues to work to highlight Scottish History through her research and in the classroom. Dr Walton also loves sports, the outdoors, and spending time with her son, young daughter, and her dog. In 2021, she received the University System of Maryland Regent's Award for Mentoring.
