For Readmitted/Returning Students

Returning to SU After More than a Year

If you've taken time away from college, you're not alone. Many students step away for personal, financial, or professional reasons—and later choose to return and complete their degree. Whether you've been gone for one semester or several years, we’re here to support your return.

Why Return Now?

Completing your degree can open doors to new career opportunities, increase your earning potential, and provide personal satisfaction. Returning now may also offer advantages such as updated academic programs, flexible course formats, and access to expanded support services.

How We Support Returning Students

We understand that coming back to school is a big decision. That’s why we offer resources specifically designed for students who are returning after a break:

Academic Advising: Our advisors can help you determine where you left off and create a plan to move forward.

Transcript Evaluation: We’ll assess your previous coursework and help you understand what credits still apply.

Flexible Course Options: Choose from online, evening, hybrid, or accelerated formats to fit your schedule for certain courses/majors.

Financial Aid & Scholarships: We’ll help you explore financial aid options and any new funding opportunities available for returning students.

Enrollment Support: Staff are available to guide you through the reapplication or readmission process.
