New Faculty Resource Guide

Dear New Faculty,

Welcome to Salisbury University! You’re joining us at an exciting time as we celebrate 100 years of educating our students to be thoughtful, responsible contributors to society. Our Centennial celebrates not only our history but also honors the incredible work currently shaping our next hundred years. This forward momentum is obvious across campus. Students are fully engaged in our redesigned general education program focused on critical thinking and high impact practices. We're completing our next Strategic Plan, which is defining our vision for SU's future. But what excites me most is seeing the innovative ways our faculty are approaching their teaching and scholarship in a politically and technologically complex time. Not only do these efforts ensure our students are competitive in an ever-changing world, it also builds collaborations and engagement within our campus community and beyond. You'll contribute meaningfully to this; new faculty bring fresh energy and new ideas that benefit all.

Remember that you are not navigating this transition alone. Your department chairs and school directors are incredible and are here to help you navigate. Your dean understands the resources available to support you and your work. My office door is always open when you need someone to listen or help solve problems.

Welcome to our community. I'm excited to see what you'll build here.

Warmly,

Dr. Jessica Clark
Associate Provost and Acting Vice President of Academic Affairs
