The Center for Student Achievement has a plethora of free resources to help students reach their academic goals. Resources include tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, success coaching, and study strategy workshops. If you would like more information about CSA services and resources, this workshop is for you.

Final's week - the week many college students' dread. With a little work and a lot of planning, you too can survive finals week. The CSA offers a "Prep for Finals" workshop to create a study plan for exam week, so that you can keep your great GPA!

Do you study for hours and hours and still cannot get that A? Studying does not have to consume your life, and it does not have to be hard. In this workshop, we offer several study strategies you can use, depending on the class and level of understanding needed. Learn HOW to learn from your notes, textbook and more! Study smarter, not harder!

When you hear the word "exam," do you immediately panic? Exams do not have to be scary. Learn some test-taking strategies and techniques to reduce test anxiety, so that you can perform your best on the next test.

Are you always turning in assignments late? Do you pull an all-nighter to write a paper or study for an exam? You need a time management intervention! The CSA's workshop on Time Management helps you to learn how to prioritize, manage distractions and schedule your life so you have time to do what you WANT to do and still get done all the things you HAVE to do. (Yes, it is possible!)

In this workshop, students will learn critical time management skills such as scheduling, prioritizing and managing distractions. They will learn about the importance of the 80-20 rule and how that applies to college studying. They will also create their own time management plan in order to successfully manage their time and tasks.

In this workshop, students will learn the importance of maximizing their class resources for more effective studying. We will delve into 4 study strategies and provide examples to effectively use each: retrieval practice, elaboration, spaced repetition and metacognition. Students will create a study plan for an upcoming exam or project, using one or more of the strategies mentioned.

This workshop is perfect for your class if you have an upcoming exam. Students will learn general study tips and understand the importance of active studying and self-testing when preparing. We will discuss how to vary their studying for different types of tests and use Bloom’s Taxonomy to discover the depth at which they should study their material. Students will a study calendar to select when and how they will master the content they will be tested on.
