- Rho Eta Chapter
Background
Kappa Delta Pi was founded by William Bagley, Truman Kelly, and Thomas Edgar Musselman in 1911 at the University of Illinois to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. KDP is the champion for future and new teachers from campus to classroom and delivers guidance and solutions to issues facing teachers across the United States, while maintaining a global perspective. Above all, KDP is a reliable and research-based source of best practices for the teaching field.
Kappa Delta Pi members keep good company. Albert Einstein, George Washington Carver, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Margaret Mead are just a few of the historically known members. The honor society is comprised of over 50,000 members.
